1st Generation Hollow Style Emblem (With Night Vision): Illuminated outer ring only — the centre of the badge has a hollow section that allows the thermal camera to function unobstructed.
Required for all A8 models fitted with the Night Vision Assist option.
Night Vision was available as an option on A8 D4 (2011–2017) and D5 (2018–2023) models and is identifiable by the Night Vision display on the MMI screen when driving in darkness.

Black wire (negative/earth): Connect to any body earth point in the engine bay.
